KinderKinder’s festival was first celebrated in 1987. Since 1991 it is supported by the Amt für Jugend and especially by the Hamburger Kulturbehörde.

The festival grew in size and popularity and has earned the reputation of a renowned international music and theatre festival.

The annual festival is taking place between September and November. Last year 40.000 enjoyes 60 performances. in 2007 the Festival will begin with a big outdoor event on September 16th.

The festival presents international theatre and music shows for children as well as productions of its own.
